Time and attendance systems are not just for factories

Up to 500 jobs will be created when two warehouses are built at Whittle Road, Meir Park in south Stoke-on-Trent. The Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s planning committee granted planning permission for the storage and distribution warehouses to be developed. The warehouses will provide 372,722 sq ft of warehouse space and 28,987 of office space on the 21.5 acre-site.

West Midlands is most confident business region

New data, included in the latest Business Barometer from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, has revealed that overall business confidence in the West Midlands is the highest in the UK, climbing 26 points from previous data to 49%. Results also showed that 63% of companies in the West Midlands expect to hire new staff members over the next year.

New retirement community under development in Oakham Heights

Larkfleet Homes, an award-winning housebuilding and development company, is intending to build 62 designed for independent living, with one or two bedrooms, and 54 homes designed for people with care needs who require an assisted living arrangement. It will also build a care home on the same site. These three elements are part of a CCRC (continuing care retirement community).

Plans for 130 new homes in Leicestershire village set for approval

A proposal to build 130 new homes in a Leicestershire village is likely to go ahead, a recent news report in the local media has been able to suggest. Gladman Developments is seeking permission from Harborough Borough Council for the land east of Fleckney Road, Saddington. The 17.6-acre site is currently vacant while plans for the land were originally published in October 2017.
