Staffordshire Police Chief Constable Mike Cunningham fears losing more officers and staff as the force is trying to make cuts of £38million in the next three years. Interview this week, Mr Cunningham said taxpayers could be asked to provide more cash to policing. His bid last year for a three per cent increase in the amount the force gain from council taxpayers was turned down. He added: "Increasing the precept is something that is for the incoming PCC (Police and Crime Commissioner)."
